About
The WordPress membership plugin built for coaches who run their business through a CRM, now owned by Caseproof. Multi-tier affiliates, points and leaderboards, a community add-on with groups. As of November 2026 the pricing page shows $2,999 to $5,999 a year with every buy button reading Coming Soon.
Information
What AccessAlly actually is
AccessAlly is a WordPress plugin that started life in 2012 as a weekend fix. Nathalie Lussier and Robin Li wrote the first version because another plugin was getting their hosting shut down, and it grew into a membership, course and affiliate system that coaches with a serious CRM habit swear by. The pitch has always been "integration-first": your Keap, Ontraport, ActiveCampaign or Kit tags decide what a member can see, and AccessAlly builds the member area around them.
It's on this site for two reasons. First, it has a community add-on (CommunityAlly) with groups, feeds and discussions, so it's a real contender for "WordPress community without BuddyBoss." Second, it's one of the four membership plugins Caseproof now owns, and the state we found it in says something about what happens after a plugin gets bought.
We checked accessally.com, the acquisition announcement and the knowledge base on November 2, 2026.
Pricing: a page you can't buy from
Here's what accessally.com/pricing showed us, rendered in a real browser so we weren't misreading it:
| Plan | Price shown | Button |
|---|---|---|
| Essentials | $2,999 per year | Coming Soon |
| Pro (adds the LMS) | $4,499 per year | Coming Soon |
| Community (adds CommunityAlly groups) | $5,999 per year | Coming Soon |
All three buttons link to "#". The page carries a 30-day money-back badge next to text that says 14 days. The "Compare All Plans" link goes to a WPBeginner article. The old monthly-plans page returns a 404.
So as of today you cannot buy AccessAlly from its own pricing page, and the prices it displays are several times what the plugin sold for before the acquisition. We don't know whether those numbers are a repricing in progress, a placeholder, or a page someone forgot about. We're reporting what the page says. Our pricing field shows $249.92 because $2,999 divided by twelve is the only number on the page, and our known limitation leads with the fact that you can't check out. If you're considering AccessAlly, email them and ask what it costs; then tell us, because we'll update this.
The plugin itself is alive. Release notes show version 4.9.4 on September 22, 2026, with a run of security releases through the summer. The product is maintained. The storefront isn't.
What it does when you're in
Courses and memberships. Unlimited courses and members on every plan, no transaction fees. Modules, lessons, drip by schedule or progress, three quiz types (scored, pass/fail, personality), assignment submissions, private notes, auto-generated PDF certificates, cohort enrolments, video and audio bookmarks. Progress tracking is its own sub-plugin (ProgressAlly). The LMS is Pro and up; Essentials is membership access and checkout without the course builder.
Teams. Sell seats to a company or a coach, and the team leader manages their own members from a front-end page. That's the bulk-enrolment path.
Affiliates, with tiers. This is the feature most platforms on this site don't have. The affiliate guide spells it out: multiple affiliate levels each with its own commission (its example is 30% on the base tier and 50% on a higher one), per-product overrides, cookie windows you set, and a choice of how many months an affiliate earns on a subscription. If a two-tier or multi-level affiliate program is the reason you're on WordPress, AccessAlly and MemberPress are the two plugins that do it natively.
Payments. Stripe and PayPal through AccessAlly's own order forms, with Apple Pay, Google Pay, ACH, SEPA, iDEAL, Klarna and Afterpay via Stripe. One-click upsells, order bumps, trials, installment plans, coupons, abandoned-cart follow-up, multi-currency and location-based tax. Or keep ThriveCart, SamCart or WooCommerce and let AccessAlly handle access through a tag.
The community
CommunityAlly is a separate plugin that comes with the Community plan. Each group has a Feed (posts, @mentions, favourites, comments, images and files), a Discussions tab for admin-created threads that can link out to course content, a Members tab, a Profile, and Notifications. Direct messaging is in. You can run a community-only offering with no course attached, which the FAQ pitches as the landing spot for a Facebook group.
Two things to know. CommunityAlly refuses to run if BuddyPress or BuddyBoss is active, so it's one or the other. And notifications are per-event (mentions and replies, by email or web), with a drag-and-drop email builder for the templates. There's no daily or weekly digest, and no events calendar; the help centre's answer to "how do I run live calls" is to post the link in the feed.
Gamification, the do-it-yourself kind
AccessAlly has points, badges and leaderboards, and the way they work is very WordPress. Points live in a custom field. You award them through automations when someone finishes a course or an action, members can spend them to unlock bonuses, and the leaderboard is a member directory sorted by that field. Badges work the same way. Nothing here is a toggle; it's a system you assemble. The upside is you decide what earns a point. The downside is that if you want Skool's "post, get liked, level up" loop, you'll be building it.
AccessAlly sends transactional email natively: invoices, failed payments, renewal reminders, welcome emails, module-release notices, affiliate commission notices, all with templates and shared blocks. It does not send broadcasts or sequences. The whole design assumes your CRM does that, and the knowledge base says plainly that if you switch to "AccessAlly Managed" contacts (no CRM), "you may need to add a separate email service." Our email field says "none" for marketing email; the ESP sync is as native as it gets, with ActiveCampaign, Kit, Keap and Ontraport integrated directly and Drip in the knowledge base.
Getting members in and out
In: there's no AccessAlly CSV upload. Members arrive through order forms, through CRM tags that grant access, through Teams for bulk seats, or through any WordPress user-import plugin. If you're coming from another CRM, the migration guides are explicit that they're self-service.
Out: it's WordPress, so everything. The knowledge base's own export instructions tell you to install the free Export Users for WordPress plugin or WP All Export and pull a CSV, adding a paid upgrade if you want AccessAlly's custom fields. Beyond that, a database backup takes members, posts, groups, progress and courses. ProgressAlly settings can be exported and imported between AccessAlly sites.
Courses in from elsewhere: rebuild. No importer.
The branded app
None. There's no AccessAlly app, shared or branded. CommunityAlly is mobile-friendly in the browser, and that's the answer.
Where it fits
AccessAlly is for a coaching or training business that already lives in Keap, Ontraport, ActiveCampaign or Kit, wants a multi-tier affiliate program, and would rather assemble exactly the member experience it wants than accept a platform's defaults. Deep, flexible, and demanding. Not a first platform, and not a buy-today platform until the pricing page works again.
Known limitation
As of November 2, 2026 the pricing page lists $2,999 to $5,999 per year with every button reading "Coming Soon" and linking nowhere; the plugin is maintained (4.9.4, September 2026) but you can't check out from its own site. No broadcast email, no digest, no events, no app, no CSV member import, and gamification is assembled from custom fields.
