Stan Store

A link-in-bio storefront that grew a course builder, bookings and a single community. $29/mo with 0% platform fee on your own Stripe or PayPal. Email broadcasts and flows are Creator Pro at $99. One community per store, iOS-only member app, no gamification.

The Honest Limitation
Email broadcasts and flows are Creator Pro only ($99/mo). One community per store. Member app is iOS only with no admin functions. Imports capped at 5,000 contacts per store and every contact needs a name. ESP sync is Zapier only.

The short version

Stan Store is a link-in-bio storefront for Instagram and TikTok creators that kept adding products until it became a small all-in-one. Courses, bookings, digital downloads, recurring memberships, and one community, all for $29 a month with no cut of your sales.

It's not a Skool competitor. The community is a single space with posts and categories, there's no gamification, and the member app is iOS-only. But if you sell from a bio link and want "a place my buyers can go" without a second subscription, it does that for less than anyone except Skool.

Pricing we checked

Two plans. No free plan. 14-day trial.

  • Creator: $29/mo ($300/yr). Storefront, calendar and bookings, unlimited course builder, recurring subscriptions, lead magnets and email capture, community, Instagram AutoDM.
  • Creator Pro: $99/mo ($948/yr). Everything above plus discount codes, upsells and order bumps, payment plans (Stan Payments, Afterpay, Klarna), funnels, affiliate management, email broadcasts and email flows, contact import, pixel tracking.

The split that matters: on Creator you can collect emails but you can't send them. Broadcasts and flows are Pro. So the honest price of "Stan with email" is $99.

Transaction fees

0%. Stan's help centre: "Stan earns 0% from transactions made on the platform." You pay Stripe or PayPal's fees and nothing to Stan.

Stan's fee page is unusually thorough about what Stripe charges by country, including the bits platforms usually skip: an international customer surcharge (0.8% to 1.75% depending on where you are), a payout fee of 0.25% + 25ยข, and an extra 1% to 2% when you sell in a currency different from your Stripe account's. Afterpay and Klarna run about 6%. None of that is Stan's, but it's good that they wrote it down.

Payments

Your own Stripe or PayPal. Stan doesn't hold your money. Payment plans on Pro route through Stan Payments, Afterpay or Klarna.

Community and gamification

One community per Stan Store. Want two, open a second account. That's in the help centre.

Inside it: members post (with files and video), categorise posts, comment, react, DM each other, and see the products they've bought under a Purchases tab. You get Resources and Helpful Links sections, pinned posts, scheduled posts, and Member / Moderator / Admin roles. Free or paid, and you can grant existing customers access without charging them.

No spaces, no groups, no leaderboard, no points, no levels. Rated "Categories only" and "None."

Courses

Unlimited course builder with course analytics on the $29 plan, which undercuts Teachable's $39 with a 7.5% fee and Podia's $42. It's a simple builder, not LearnWorlds. Lessons, video, downloads, drip.

The three email questions

Does it send members a digest? Members can edit their notification settings on the web (not in the app), but Stan's docs don't describe a daily or weekly activity summary. Rated "Basic notifications."

Can you email your members from inside it? On Creator Pro, yes: broadcasts and multi-step email flows with tags, unlimited sends. On Creator, no. You collect the address and that's it. Rated "Sequences and automation" with the $99 asterisk.

Can you get your list out? Customers tab exports a CSV. Income tab exports purchases with any custom checkout fields. For a live sync to Kit, Mailchimp or Flodesk, it's Zapier. Stan's own integrations page lists Mailchimp, Flodesk and AWeber, every one of them "using Zapier." No native ESP app. Rated "Zapier or API only."

Getting in and getting out

Members in: CSV import to the Customers tab, then grant product access to the community. Two catches. Every contact needs a first or last name or it won't import. And there's a hard cap of 5,000 manually imported contacts per store, ever, across all lists. Addresses you collect through sales don't count. Imported contacts also get an opt-in email before you can mail them, which Stan reviews for list health.

Members out: Customers CSV, Income CSV. Posts and comments: no export we could find.

Courses in: Rebuild by hand. No importer.

Mobile app

"Stan Community" member app, iOS only, no admin functions, and members can't change payment or notification settings in it. Android members use the browser. No branded option. Rated "Shared platform app" with that caveat.

Who it's for

  • Instagram and TikTok creators already selling from a bio link.
  • Coaches who want bookings, a course and a members' area on one bill.
  • First paid community on a budget, where "community" means a feed and a chat, not a game.

Who should skip it

  • Anyone who needs to email members on the $29 plan. You can't.
  • Anyone with more than one community, or an Android-heavy audience.
  • Anyone importing a list bigger than 5,000.

Known limitation

Email broadcasts and flows are Creator Pro only ($99). One community per store. Member app is iOS only with no admin functions. Imports capped at 5,000 contacts per store and every contact needs a name. ESP sync is Zapier only.
